John and I got engaged this past weekend!
Hang on… let me say that again… JOHN AND I GOT ENGAGED THIS WEEKEND!
Yes, that is me screaming from the heavens. I am so excited I could burst. I am jumping up and down with joy. I want to shout at the top of my lungs. I am tickled pink. I am over the moon. I am happy as a pig in muck. I am like a kid with a new toy. Ok, that’s enough. I am sure you get it.
Last Friday after work, John came to pick my up and we drove down to Savannah. I was not expecting anything since we go to Savannah all the time and we had had these plans for weeks. Once we got there John was in a rush to get out on the boat, again nothing new. And a few details later, we were engaged!
The best part came when we returned to the house to find my family and his family awaiting us. I thought I was going to vomit at the sight of my mom and sisters. That’s how excited I was. We stayed up too late, of course and I am sure the last time my mom saw 3:30 a.m. was… you know, I don’t even know when.
It was such a great weekend that I just wanted to share that little part with you. What a great way to start a future
.
Here are some pictures from the weekend.
Pre-engagement. The groom koozie was just a fluke.
Post-engagement with my soon-to-be-sister-in-law.
Gaining three more sisters!
The best text I have ever gotten! Look at the time.
Oh yeah, and it was my birthday. And John’s dad’s.
Its Wednesday so I don’t know whether to say “Hope you had a great weekend, too” or “Have a great weekend.” How about “Have a great middle of the week!”

I love it! I especially love you and your future father-in-law sharing a birthday cake! So happy for you seester!
